About us
War on Homelessness is a 501(c)(3) public charity operating WarOnHomelessness.net. EIN: 00-0000000 (placeholder — replace with real EIN before launch). Our mission is to move unhoused neighbors into stable housing and keep them there with food, medical care, and case management.
Accepting these terms
By accessing this website or making a donation, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or donate through it.
Donations
- All donations are voluntary and made without condition. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by U.S. law.
- You must be authorized to use the payment method you provide. By donating, you represent that you are the cardholder or have the cardholder's permission.
- We do not store your card number. Payment processing is handled by Buy Me a Coffee (operated by Stripe under the hood), a PCI-compliant service provider whose terms and privacy practices also apply.
- A donation receipt is emailed automatically by Buy Me a Coffee after a successful contribution. Please keep it for your tax records.
Recurring donations
- Monthly memberships renew automatically each month until you cancel from your Buy Me a Coffee account or by contacting us.
- If a renewal payment fails, Buy Me a Coffee may retry according to its standard schedule. If retries continue to fail, the membership will be canceled automatically.
- Canceling a recurring gift stops future charges only; it does not refund prior donations.
Refunds
Because donations fund time-sensitive housing, food, and medical services, gifts are generally non-refundable. We may make exceptions for accidental or duplicate donations, billing errors, or suspected fraud if you contact us within 14 days. See our full Refund Policy for details.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm the site, its users, or our mission. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or misuse the site.
- Using automated scraping or data harvesting tools.
- Providing false or misleading information in connection with a donation.
- Attempting to access donor records or admin areas without authorization.
Intellectual property
The content on this site — including text, images, the War on Homelessness name and logo, and fundraising materials — is owned by or licensed to War on Homelessness and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, distribute, or modify our content for commercial use without written permission.
Disclaimers
This site is provided "as is" and "as available." We strive to keep information accurate, secure, and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every page will be error-free. Information about impact, finances, and residents is shared in good faith and may be updated over time.
Limitation of liability
